![]() Or his amazing metaphors and wordplay like “Driving by rosebushes thinking of you plenty, saying ‘look me in the eyes when you fiddle with the cherry” on Lush or “See, consolidation keep us close,/just beads to sequins” and “patterns stack like argyles do” on Fuji Unlimited. From lines like “Shooting over yoda, /flying arrow, /‘Appa, yip, yip’” in Starfruit NYC that brilliantly illustrate an image of him being aboard Delta (arrow)Airlines flying over extensive grassland, BUT is also a reference to fucking Avatar, alike “These niggas soaking up defeat through the ground,/ who do you blame in colosseums, the killer or the crowd? “ in Lush. One constant tho is his unique ability of weaving in pop culture/cultural references in the most flavorful, yet unorthodox ways. Almost as though they’re two different entities that took two different approaches. However I personally feel like I’m able to appreciate his writing abilities equally on each album. ![]() ![]() he still wears the frank influence on his sleeve, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and i trust. the production is immaculate, fresh, and lush and the switchups throughout many of the songs never fail to keep things interesting. ![]() I definitely feel and agree that production-wise, the general consensus is Honeybloom is an evolution. honeybloom has quickly become one of my favorite albums released this year thus far.
